Warranty & Company Policy
Warranty - New items are limited to a manufacturers warranty only. Other items are warranted on an individual basis and is determined at the time of sale. Some items may not be covered by a warranty. Any item returned for credit must have prior authorization and are subject to a restocking charge of 25%. Any item(s) accepted for return must be in the original packaging and in saleable condition.
Returned items must be returned freight prepaid and must be accompanied by a RMA (Returned Material Authorization) which will be issued by phone or Email before the return. Items returned without an RMA will not be credited or refunded. The customer will be responsible for all shipping and/or handling fees and tax unless otherwise stated at time of sale.
Some items are non returnable such as any special order item, damaged goods, items that have been tampered with, electronic or electrically operated items including motherboards and/or CD's. We do not permit return of the following items due to possible copying and/or copyright infringement: Patterns, Magazines, Books or other printed matter containing copyrighted matter or matter that may personal in nature. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any refund will be limited to a in store credit only, good towards the future purchase of any item listed on our website.
We will not accept for return partial cones or yarn that has been removed, rewound or otherwise changed from its original package. Yarn colors are subject to color dye lots which vary in color from one dye lot to another. Yarns are supplied in dye lot colors and an exact match or replacement yarn color cannot be guaranteed. Repaired items are warranted as specified at time of repair and are subject to a bench charge.
Shipping insurance is available on request. We highly recommend insurance, especially on electronic or high value items. Contact us for more details on how to insure your package.
LOST OR DAMAGED GOODS - All items are shipped F.O.B. Palm Bay, Florida (title of goods pass to buyer at time of shipment and any claim for damage must be filed by purchaser with the freight carrier). We will help you with paperwork filing and necessary follow up as may be required by the carrier. You must report any damage, hidden or otherwise, to the carrier immediately upon reciept of the merchandise.
We will not be responsible for items left at the Knitting Closet overnite. Items shipped to our store and left for any extended period. Any item delivered to us must be insured by the owners insurance company or homeowners policy.
Most in stock items ship within 2-3 business days. We occasionally find ourselves in an out of stock condition – these items ship as soon as we receive our next delivery which is usually within a few days. Some items may no longer be unavailable from the manufacturer in which case we may suggest substitution or cancellation of that item.
