Crocheted Hat - by Johanna Designs #H210A. The directions will give you a choice between a 'Spiral-shaped Pattern' and a 'Plain' crochet top. You can also use your favorite pattern for the top of your hat. You'll look like you just stepped off the fashion runway in New York with any of these fine fashionable hats. Requires 175-200 yards of good sturdy yarn. We used a cable twisted cotton yarn with knitting guage of 4-1/2 stitches on a #8 needle = 1 inch. Some suggested yarns are Fantasy Naturale by Plymouth with a 3-1/4 mm hook or Eko Bomull by Sweedish Yarn & 3-1/2 mm hook, however any good sturdy yarn will do providing it can knit to the required gauge.
