Paternayan Persian Yarn. Patternayan is 100% Persian virgin wool, a wool of quality, durability and luxurious colors. A unique breed of sheep grown only in New Zealand whose lambs (upon their first shearing, at 18 months instead fo the usual one year) produce an especially soft, expecially white, and especially long-fibered wool. Paternayan Persian Yarn exhibits great strength and resilience which prevents the yarn from breaking and fraying during stitching - a common weakness in lesser yarns. Due to the unusual whiteness of the lamb's wool, the yarn exhibits a luster that approaches a "glow".
Patternayan Persian Yarn is well known for its superiority in needlework such as embroidery, needlepoint, and cross stitch. A single strand of Paternayan Persian Yarn is ideal for cross stitching on Aida cloth and fine embroidery on linen. Plying, the act of separating the three strands, is always necessary before stitching. Even when three strands are used, plying is still needed so the yarn will lie smoothly on the canvas. Packaged 8 yard per skein.
Minimum order 3 skeins of any one color.
