Frequently Asked Questions

What are your shop hours?  10am-5pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri & 10-2pm Saturday.  We are closed on Wednesday and Saturday.

Where are you located? Did you move? You used to be on US-1.  Our store is located at 830 N Wickham Rd, Unit #7  in Melbourne, FL.  We are in the Twin Oaks Shopping Plaza in Unit #7 which is in the back corner of the plaza.

I want to learn to knit.  Do you give lessons?  Yes, we give both hand and machine knitting lessons.  Our hand knitting lessons are usually in groups of 4-6, run 2-3 hours per session, and are in 4 sessions for beginning knitters, the charge is usually $5 per session.  A hand knitter can usually be knitting in 4 sessions or less.   Machine kinitting lessons are $15 per lesson and are one-on-one.  Usually it takes 4-6 lessons for a beginnning knitter to feel comfortable knitting alone.

Will you ship to me?  I live out of state.  Yes, we ship to any of the 50 states and do some international sales in countries served by United Parcel Service (UPS).

Do you repair knitting machines?  How about cleaning? Yes, we can clean and repair most makes and models of knitting machines and accessories such as G-carriages, ribbers and color changers but parts are difficult to find on older machines.  Many machines are not made anymore and parts are not always available.

My kinitting machine is not working properly, can you fix it?  In most cases we can, however, there is a $25 bench charge to determine what is wrong with it which will be applied to the cost of repairs.  This also applies to cleaning.

Do you sell used knitting machines? Yes, we do but are very selective as to what we sell.  We clean and inspect any machine that we sell and do everything possible to insure a good operating machine that we feel will give you years of service.  We normally do not sell electronic machines where we do not know the owner as they are easily damaged and can have hidden defects we may not know about.

Will you buy my machine?  Not usually. We will help you find a buyer for your machine and will handle the transaction for you but we must have a buyer before we can sell it.  Machines that are old or that have been damaged are usually not saleable.  We may be able to help you sell your machine but we are selective and do charge a fee for this.  The fee depends on the machine value. Your machine must be in good salable condition without any known flaws or defects.  It must work and knit without problems.
