Caution - a DIY should use caution when repairing a G-carriage. There are many small parts which are easily lost. Assembly and disassembly can be very tedious. The inside of a G-carriage has many magnets and small parts and once a small part is dropped into it, it is not easily removed as magnets inside the G-carriage can "catch" it. Be sure to use care and proper caution when repairing a G-carriage. Some damages cannot be undone or are very costly to repair once they have taken place.
